Transmission Mode Switch: Service and Repair

PATTERN SELECT SWITCH

Components:

REMOVAL
1. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH
2. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM COVER LH
3. REMOVE SIDE INSTRUMENT PANEL LH
4. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY
5. REMOVE SWITCH BASE





a) Disengage the 4 claws, and remove the switch base from the lower instrument panel finish panel.

6. REMOVE NO.1 PATTERN SELECT SWITCH ASSEMBLY





a) Disengage the 2 claws, and remove the pattern select switch from the switch base.

INSPECTION
1. INSPECT PATTERN SELECT SWITCH

Switch Side (Connector Front View):

a) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table.

Standard Resistance:

If the resistance value is not as specified, replace the pattern select switch.

INSTALLATION
1. INSTALL NO.1 PATTERN SELECT SWITCH ASSEMBLY





a) Engage the 2 claws and install the pattern select switch to the switch base.

2. INSTALL SWITCH BASE





a) Engage the 4 claws and install the switch base to the lower instrument panel finish panel.

3. INSTALL LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY
4. INSTALL SIDE INSTRUMENT PANEL LH
5. INSTALL FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM COVER LH
6. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH
