Occupant Detection Sensor(for Power Seat):

OCCUPANT DETECTION SENSOR (for Power Seat)

REMOVAL

1. REMOVE FRONT SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY
2. REMOVE FRONT OUTER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER RH
a. Operate the power seat switch knob and move the seat to the rearmost position.

b. Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 claws and remove the front outer seat track bracket cover RH.

HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

3. REMOVE FRONT INNER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER RH
4. REMOVE REAR OUTER SEAT TRACK COVER RH
a. Operate the power seat switch knob and move the seat to the position farthest forward.

b. Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 claws and remove the rear seat track cover RH.

HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

5. REMOVE REAR INNER SEAT TRACK COVER RH

6. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY RH
a. Operate the power seat switch knob and move the seat to the rearmost position.
b. Remove the 2 bolts on the front seat track bracket.
c. Operate the power seat switch knob and move the seat to the position farthest forward.
d. Remove the 2 bolts on the rear seat track bracket.
e. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

CAUTION: Wait for 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable to prevent airbag deployment.

f. Disconnect the connectors under the seat. Then remove the seat.

7. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY RH
a. Disconnect the connector and detach the 4 clamps.

b. Remove the nut and front seat inner belt assembly RH.

8. REMOVE RECLINING POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB
a. Using a screwdriver, detach the knob.

HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

9. REMOVE SLIDE AND VERTICAL POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB
a. Using a screwdriver, detach the knob.

HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

10. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD WITH NO.1 CUSHION SHIELD INNER
a. Release the 2 rubber bands of the front seatback board from the front seat frame.

b. Remove the 6 screws.
c. Disengage the claw and remove the cushion shield with No.1 cushion shield inner.
d. Disconnect the connector from the front power seat lumbar switch.

11. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER CUSHION SHIELD RH

12. REMOVE FRONT POWER SEAT SWITCH (w/ Seat Position Memory System)
a. Remove the 3 screws.
b. Disconnect the 2 connectors and remove the front power seat switch.

13. REMOVE FRONT POWER SEAT SWITCH (w/o Seat Position Memory System)
a. Remove the 3 screws.
b. Disconnect the connector and remove the front power seat switch.

14. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER WITH PAD
a. Disconnect the connectors and detach the clamps.

b. Disengage the clamp and separate the occupant detection sensor connector.

c. Remove the 2 clips.
d. Disengage the hooks and remove the separate type front seat cushion cover with pad.

15. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION PAD
a. Remove the hog rings and separate type front seat cushion pad.

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION PAD
a. Using hog ring pliers, install the separate type front seat cushion cover to the seat cushion pad with new hog rings.

NOTE:
- Be careful not to damage the cover.
- When installing the hog rings, take care to minimize wrinkles as much as possible.

2. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER WITH PAD
a. Connect the hooks to install the separate type front seat cushion cover with pad.
b. Install the 2 clips.

c. Engage the clamp to install the occupant detection sensor connector.

d. Connect the connectors and clamps.

3. INSTALL FRONT POWER SEAT SWITCH (w/ Seat Position Memory System)
a. Connect the 2 connectors.
b. Install the front power seat switch with the 3 screws.

4. REMOVE FRONT POWER SEAT SWITCH (w/o Seat Position Memory System)
a. Connect the connector.
b. Install the front power seat switch with the 3 screws.

5. INSTALL FRONT SEAT INNER CUSHION SHIELD RH

6. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD WITH NO.1 CUSHION SHIELD INNER
a. Connect the connector to the lumbar front power seat switch.
b. Engage the claw to install the cushion shield with No.1 cushion shield inner.
c. Install the 6 screws.

d. Install the 2 rubber bands of the front seatback board to the seat frame.
e. Connect the connector to the No.1 interior illumination light.

7. INSTALL SLIDE AND VERTICAL POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB
8. INSTALL RECLINING POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB

9. INSTALL FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY RH
a. Install the 4 clamps.
b. Connect the connector.

c. Install the front seat inner belt assembly RH with the nut.

Torque: 42 N.m (428 kgf.cm, 31 ft.lbf)

NOTE: Do not allow the anchor part of the front seat inner belt assembly to overlap the protruding parts of the front seat adjuster.

10. INSTALL FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY RH
a. Place the seat in the cabin.
b. Connect the connectors under the seat.
c. Connect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.
d. Operate the power seat switch knob and move the seat to the position farthest forward.
e. Temporarily install the 2 bolts on the rear seat track bracket.
f. Operate the power seat switch knob and move the seat to the rearmost position.
g. Temporarily install the 2 bolts on the front seat track bracket.
h. Tighten the 4 bolts in the order indicated in the illustration.

Torque: 37 N.m (377 kgf.cm, 27 ft.lbf)

11. INSTALL REAR OUTER SEAT TRACK COVER RH
a. Operate the power seat switch knob and move the seat to the position farthest forward.

b. Engage the 2 claws to install the rear outer seat track cover RH.

12. INSTALL REAR INNER SEAT TRACK COVER RH
13. INSTALL FRONT OUTER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER RH
a. Operate the power seat switch knob and move the seat to the rearmost position.

b. Engage the 2 claws to install the front outer seat track bracket cover RH.

14. INSTALL FRONT INNER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER RH
15. INSTALL FRONT SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY
16. PERFORM INITIALIZATION

HINT: Some systems need initialization after reconnecting the cable to the negative battery terminal.

17. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT
Inspect the SRS warning light.

18. INSPECT FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY
