Front Seat Assembly (For Power Seat):

DISASSEMBLY

CAUTION: Wear protective gloves. Sharp areas on the seat frame and adjuster may injure your hands.

HINT: Use the same procedures for the LH side and RH side.

1. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY
2. REMOVE RECLINING POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB

a. Using a screwdriver, detach the knob.

HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

3. REMOVE SLIDE AND VERTICAL POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB

a. Using a screwdriver, detach the knob.

HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

4. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD WITH INNER NO. 1 CUSHION SHIELD

a. Release the 2 rubber bands of the front seatback board from the front seat frame.

b. Remove the 6 screws.
c. Disengage the claw and separate the front seat cushion shield assembly.
d. Disconnect the connector from the front power seat lumbar switch.

5. REMOVE FRONT INNER NO.1 SEAT CUSHION SHIELD

a. Remove the 2 screws.
b. Detach the claw and disconnect the cushion shield inner from the cushion shield.

6. REMOVE FRONT POWER SEAT LUMBAR SWITCH

a. Remove the 2 screws and switch.

7. REMOVE LOWER OUTER SEAT TRACK SPACER

a. Remove the 2 screws and spacer.

8. REMOVE FRONT INNER SEAT CUSHION SHIELD

a. Remove the screw.
b. Using a screwdriver, detach the claw.

HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

c. Using a clip remover, detach the clip and remove the cushion shield.

9. REMOVE LOWER INNER SEAT TRACK SPACER

a. Remove the 2 screws and spacer from the cushion shield inner.

10. REMOVE FRONT POWER SEAT SWITCH (w/ Seat Position Memory System)

a. Remove the 3 screws.
b. Disconnect the 2 connectors and remove the front power seat switch.

11. REMOVE FRONT POWER SEAT SWITCH (w/o Seat Position Memory System)
a. Remove the 3 screws.
b. Disconnect the connector and remove the front power seat switch.

12. REMOVE FRONT SEPARATE TYPE SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY LH

a. Disconnect the connectors and detach the clamps.

b. Using a screwdriver, detach the hooks and remove the front seat cushion cover with pad.

13. REMOVE OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION SENSOR (for Front Passenger Side)

a. Disconnect the connector.
b. Detach the connector clamp.

NOTICE: Do not bend the pressure hose.

c. Remove the 2 clips and sensor.

14. REMOVE OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION ECU (for Front Passenger Side)

a. Disconnect the connector.
b. Remove the 2 bolts and ECU.

15. REMOVE FRONT SEPARATE TYPE SEAT CUSHION COVER

a. Remove the hog rings and seat cushion cover from the seat cushion pad.

16. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION HEATER ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Seat Heater System)

a. Cut off the tack pins that fasten the seat heater, and then remove the front seat cushion heater assembly from the seat cushion cover.

17. REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Seatback Board)

a. Open the lower part of the seatback board. Then remove the 2 screws.
b. Pull the seatback board in the direction indicated by the arrow in the illustration to detach the 2 claws. Then, remove the seatback board.

18. REMOVE FRONT SEAT HEADREST SUPPORT

a. Detach the 2 claws and remove the headrest support.

19. REMOVE FRONT SEAT HEADREST SUPPORT
20. REMOVE FRONT SEPARATE TYPE SEATBACK ASSEMBLY (w/o Seatback Board)

a. Open the 2 zippers and seatback cover.

b. Remove the hog rings and hooks.

c. Remove the nut and 2 seatback cover brackets.

21. REMOVE FRONT SEPARATE TYPE SEATBACK ASSEMBLY (w/ Seatback Board)

a. Remove the hog ring and hooks.

b. Remove the hog rings and hooks.

c. Remove the hog rings.

d. Remove the nut and 2 seatback cover brackets.

22. REMOVE FRONT SEPARATE TYPE SEATBACK COVER

a. Remove the hog rings and seatback cover from the seatback pad.

23. REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK HEATER ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Seat Heater System)

a. Cut off the tack pins that fasten the seat heater, and then remove the front seatback heater assembly from the seat cushion cover.

24. REMOVE LOWER RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER RH
a. Disconnect the harness.

b. Remove the 2 screws and lower reclining adjuster inside cover RH.

25. REMOVE LOWER RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER LH
a. Disconnect the harness.

b. Remove the 2 screws lower reclining adjuster inside cover LH.

26. REMOVE UPPER RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER RH

a. Remove the screw.
b. Detach the claw and remove the reclining adjuster inside upper cover RH.

27. REMOVE UPPER RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER LH

a. Remove the screw.
b. Detach the claw and remove the reclining adjuster inside upper cover LH.

28. REMOVE FRONT LOWER SEAT CUSHION SHIELD LH

a. Remove the screw and detach the hook of the front seat lower cushion shield LH.

29. REMOVE FRONT LOWER SEAT CUSHION SHIELD

a. Remove the screw and detach the hook of the front seat lower cushion shield.

30. REMOVE LUMBAR SUPPORT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY

a. Disconnect the connector and clamps.
b. Remove the 2 screws and lumbar support adjuster.

31. REMOVE SEATBACK CLIMATE CONTROL BLOWER (w/ Climate Control Seat System)

a. Disconnect the connector and detach the 3 clamps.
b. Using a T30 "torx" socket, remove the 6 "torx" bolts and remove the seatback climate control cover and blower.

32. REMOVE SEAT CUSHION CLIMATE CONTROL DUCT (w/ Climate Control Seat System)

a. Separate the 2 clamps (A) in the direction indicated by the arrow (1).
b. Separate the 2 clamps (B) in the direction indicated by the arrow (2).
c. Disengage the 2 claws, and remove the seat cushion climate control duct LH.

33. REMOVE SEAT CLIMATE CONTROL BLOWER (w/ Climate Control Seat System)

a. Disconnect the connector.
b. Remove the screw, detach the claw and remove the blower with bracket.
c. Remove the 3 bolts, 3 bushes and blower from the bracket.

34. REMOVE SEAT POSITION SENSOR (for Driver Side)

a. Disconnect the connector.
b. Detach the claw and remove the seat slide position sensor protector.
c. Using a T30 "torx" socket, remove the "torx" bolt and seat position sensor.

35. REMOVE SEAT HEATER CONTROL SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Seat Heater System)
36. REMOVE FRONT SEAT WIRE

REASSEMBLY

CAUTION: Wear protective gloves. Sharp areas on the seat adjuster may injure your hands.

HINT:
- Use the same procedures for the LH side and RH side.
- A bolt without a torque specification is shown in the standard bolt chart.

1. INSTALL FRONT SEAT WIRE
2. INSTALL SEAT HEATER CONTROL SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Seat Heater System)
3. INSTALL SEAT POSITION SENSOR (for Driver Side)

a. Install the seat position sensor, but do not fully tighten it yet.
b. Install a 1 mm (0.04 in.) feeler gauge between the slide rail and sensor.

HINT: Make sure that the clearance between the seat position sensor and the slide rail is within 0.6 to 1.4 mm (0.023 to 0.055 in.).

CAUTION:
- If the seat position sensor has been dropped, or there are any cracks or other defects in the case, bracket or connector, replace the seat position sensor with a new one.
- When installing the seat position sensor, make sure that the SRS wiring does not interfere with other parts and is not pinched between other parts.

c. Hold down the top of the sensor and tighten the sensor using a T30 "torx" socket.

Torque: 8.0 N.m (82 kgf.cm, 71 in.lbf)

d. Remove the feeler gauge.
e. Install the seat slide position sensor protector.
f. Connect the wire harness connector.

4. INSTALL SEAT CLIMATE CONTROL BLOWER (w/ Climate Control Seat System)
5. INSTALL SEAT CUSHION CLIMATE CONTROL DUCT (w/ Climate Control Seat System)
6. INSTALL SEATBACK CLIMATE CONTROL BLOWER (w/ Climate Control Seat System)

a. Using a T30 "torx" socket, install the blower cover and blower to the seat frame with the 6 "torx" bolts.
b. Connect the connector and attach the 3 clamps.

7. INSTALL LUMBAR SUPPORT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY

a. Install the lumbar support adjuster with the 2 screws.
b. Connect the connector.

8. INSTALL FRONT LOWER SEAT CUSHION SHIELD
9. INSTALL FRONT LOWER SEAT CUSHION SHIELD
10. INSTALL RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER LH
11. INSTALL SEAT RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER LH
12. INSTALL RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER LH
13. INSTALL LOWER RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER RH
14. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK HEATER ASSEMBLY (w/ Seat Heater System)

a. Using a tacker, install the front seatback heater to the end of the seat cover with the 7 tack pins.

15. INSTALL FRONT SEPARATE TYPE SEATBACK COVER

a. Using hog ring pliers, install the seatback cover to the seatback pad with new hog rings.

16. INSTALL FRONT SEPARATE TYPE SEATBACK ASSEMBLY (w/o Seatback Board)

a. Fully cover the airbag with the 2 seatback cover brackets and tighten the nut.

Torque: 5.5 N.m (56 kgf.cm, 49 in.lbf)

CAUTION:
- For vehicles with side airbags, the seatback cover must be securely installed. Otherwise, the side airbags may not deploy properly.
- Make sure that the strap is not twisted after installing the bracket.
- Install the bracket securely.

b. Using hog ring pliers, install the seatback cover (with pad) to the seat frame with new hog rings, and attach the hooks.

c. Install the seatback cover (with pad) to the seat frame. (w/o Seatback Board)

17. INSTALL FRONT SEPARATE TYPE SEATBACK ASSEMBLY (w/ Seatback Board)

b. Using hog ring pliers, install the seatback cover (with pad) to the seat frame with new hog rings.

c. Using hog ring pliers, install the seatback cover (with pad) to the seat frame with new hog rings, and attach the hooks.

d. Install the front seatback cover and attach the hooks.

18. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Seatback Board)
19. INSTALL FRONT SEAT HEADREST SUPPORT
20. INSTALL FRONT SEAT HEADREST SUPPORT
21. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION HEATER ASSEMBLY (w/ Seat Heater System)

a. Using a tacker, install the front seat cushion heater to the end of the seat cover with the 28 tack pins.

22. INSTALL FRONT SEPARATE TYPE SEAT CUSHION COVER

a. Using hog ring pliers, install the seat cushion cover to the seat cushion pad with new hog rings.

23. INSTALL OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION ECU (for Front Passenger Side)

a. Install the ECU with the 2 bolts.
b. Connect the connector.

24. INSTALL OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION SENSOR (for Front Passenger Side)

a. Install the sensor with the 2 clips.

b. Connect the connector.
c. Attach the connector clamp.

NOTICE: Do not bend the pressure hose.

25. INSTALL FRONT SEPARATE TYPE SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY LH
26. INSTALL FRONT POWER SEAT SWITCH (w/ Seat Position Memory System)

a. Connect the 2 connectors.
b. Install the switch with the 3 screws.

27. INSTALL FRONT POWER SEAT SWITCH (w/o Seat Position Memory System)
a. Connect the connector.
b. Install the switch with the 3 screws.

28. INSTALL FRONT INNER SEAT CUSHION SHIELD

a. Attach the clip and 2 claws to install the cushion shield inner.
b. Install the screw.

29. INSTALL LOWER INNER SEAT TRACK SPACER

a. Install the spacer to the front cushion shield with the 2 screws.

30. INSTALL LOWER OUTER SEAT TRACK SPACER
a. Install the spacer to the front cushion shield with the 2 screws.

31. INSTALL FRONT POWER SEAT LUMBAR SWITCH

a. Install the switch to the front cushion shield with the 2 screws.

32. CONNECT INNER NO. 1 FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD

a. Attach the claw and connect the No. 1 cushion shield inner to the front cushion shield.
b. Install the 2 screws.

33. INSTALL NO. 1 FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD WITH CUSHION SHIELD INNER
a. Connect the connector to the lumbar front power seat switch.

b. Attach the claw and install the cushion shield with cushion shield inner.
c. Install the 5 screws.

d. Install the 2 rubber bands of the front seatback board to the seat frame.
e. Connect the connector to the No. 1 interior illumination light.

34. INSTALL RECLINING POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB
35. INSTALL SLIDE AND VERTICAL POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB
36. INSTALL FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY
