Alarm Horn: Service and Repair

Security Horn Assembly:

SECURITY HORN ASSEMBLY

REMOVAL

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

NOTE: Wait for 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable to prevent airbag deployment.

2. REMOVE BATTERY




3. REMOVE SECURITY HORN ASSEMBLY
a. Remove the bolt and disconnect the security horn assembly.
b. Disconnect the connector and remove the security horn assembly.

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL SECURITY HORN ASSEMBLY
a. Connect the connector.




b. Install the security horn assembly with the bolt.

2. INSTALL BATTERY
3. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
4. PERFORM INITIALIZATION Testing and Inspection

NOTE: Some systems need initialization when disconnecting the cable from the negative battery terminal.
