Windshield Washer Motor: Service and Repair

FRONT WASHER MOTOR

REMOVAL

1. REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL
2. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH
3. REMOVE FRONT UPPER FENDER PROTECTOR LH
4. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER ASSEMBLY
5. REMOVE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY LH




6. REMOVE NO.3 COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SUB-ASSEMBLY
a. Remove the 3 front fender liner LH screws.




b. Disengage the engine under cover clip.




c. Remove the 2 bolts, the screw, and the No.3 air intake duct sub-assembly.




7. DRAIN WASHER FLUID
a. Remove the washer hose from the windshield washer motor and pump assembly, and drain the washer fluid.

8. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WASHER JAR AND PUMP ASSEMBLY (w/o Headlight Cleaner System)
a. Disconnect the 2 connectors.




b. Remove the bolt.
c. Pull the upper part of the washer jar and pump upward to remove it from the windshield washer jar and pump assembly.




d. Remove the 3 bolts and the windshield washer jar and pump assembly.

9. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WASHER JAR AND PUMP ASSEMBLY (w/ Headlight Cleaner System)
a. Disconnect the 4 connectors.




b. Loosen the clip and disconnect the headlight cleaner hose.




c. Remove the bolt.
d. Pull the upper part of the washer jar and pump upward to remove it from the windshield washer jar and pump assembly.




e. Remove the 3 bolts and the windshield washer jar and pump assembly.




10. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WASHER MOTOR AND PUMP ASSEMBLY
a. Remove the windshield washer motor and pump assembly.




11. REMOVE HEADLIGHT CLEANER MOTOR AND PUMP ASSEMBLY (w/ Headlight Cleaner System)
a. Remove the headlight cleaner motor and pump assembly.

INSTALLATION




1. INSTALL HEADLIGHT CLEANER MOTOR AND PUMP ASSEMBLY (w/ Headlight Cleaner System)
a. Install the headlight cleaner motor and pump assembly.




2. INSTALL WINDSHIELD WASHER MOTOR AND PUMP ASSEMBLY
a. Install the windshield washer motor and pump assembly.




3. INSTALL WINDSHIELD WASHER JAR AND PUMP ASSEMBLY (w/o Headlight Cleaner System)
a. Install the windshield washer jar and pump assembly with the 3 bolts.

Torque: 5.5 N.m (56 kgf.cm, 49 in.lbf)




b. Install the upper part of the windshield washer jar and pump assembly to the windshield washer jar and pump assembly.
c. Install the bolt.

Torque: 5.5 N.m (56 kgf.cm, 49 in.lbf)

d. Connect the 2 connectors.




4. INSTALL WINDSHIELD WASHER JAR AND PUMP ASSEMBLY (w/ Headlight Cleaner System)
a. Install the windshield washer jar and pump assembly with the 3 bolts.

Torque: 5.5 N.m (56 kgf.cm, 49 in.lbf)




b. Install the upper part of the windshield washer jar and pump assembly to the windshield washer jar and pump assembly.
c. Install the bolt.

Torque: 5.5 N.m (56 kgf.cm, 49 in.lbf)




d. Connect the headlight cleaner hose to the windshield washer jar and pump assembly.
e. Connect the 4 connectors.




5. FILL UP WINDSHIELD WASHER JAR AND PUMP ASSEMBLY WITH WASHER FLUID
a. Connect the washer hose to the windshield washer motor and pump assembly and fill the washer jar with washer fluid.




6. INSTALL NO.3 COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SUB-ASSEMBLY
a. Install the No.3 cool air intake duct sub-assembly with the 2 bolts and the screw.

Torque: 5.5 N.m (56 kgf.cm, 49 in.lbf)




b. Engage the engine under cover clip.




c. Install the 3 front fender liner LH screws.

7. INSTALL HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY LH
8. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER ASSEMBLY
9. INSTALL FRONT UPPER FENDER PROTECTOR LH
10. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH
11. INSTALL COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL
