Control Module: Service and Repair
4WD CONTROL ECUComponents:
REMOVAL
1. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH (w/o Illumination)
HINT: Use the same procedures for the RH side and the LH side.
2. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH (w/Illumination)
HINT: Use the same procedures for the RH side and the LH side.
3. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM COVER RH
4. REMOVE SIDE INSTRUMENT PANEL RH
5. REMOVE NO.2 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
6. REMOVE 4WD CONTROL ECU
a) Turn back the front floor carpet assembly.
b) Disengage the 2 clips and separate the junction connector.
c) Remove the bolt and nut.
d) Disconnect the clamp and connector, and remove the 4WD control ECU.
INSTALLATION
1. INSTALL 4WD CONTROL ECU
a) Connect the connector and clamp to the 4WD control ECU.
b) Install the 4WD control ECU with the bolt and nut.
Torque: Bolt 14 Nm (1137 kgf-cm, 10 ft. lbs.)
Nut 6.0 Nm (61 kgf-cm, 54 inch lbs.)
c) Connect the junction connector with the 2 clips.
2. INSTALL NO.2 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
3. INSTALL SIDE INSTRUMENT PANEL RH
4. INSTALL FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM COVER RH
5. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH (w/o Illumination)
HINT: Use the same procedures for the RH side and the LH side.
6. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH (w/Illumination)
HINT: Use the same procedures for the RH side and the LH side.
