Absorber Control Actuator (For Rear Side)
REMOVAL1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.
2. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT FLOOR MAT
3. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER SIDE LH
4. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER SIDE RH
5. REMOVE TOOL BOX
6. REMOVE REAR FLOOR FINISH PLATE
7. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER FRONT
8. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER INNER LH
9. REMOVE REAR SHOCK ABSORBER CAP
a. Remove rear shock absorber cap and disconnect the connector.
10. REMOVE ABSORBER CONTROL ACTUATOR
a. Turn the absorber control actuator counterclockwise approximately 40° to remove it.
INSTALLATION
1. INSTALL ABSORBER CONTROL ACTUATOR
a. Check that the control rod of the rear shock absorber is in the position shown in the illustration.
NOTE: If the control rod is not in the position shown in the illustration, turn the control rod to adjust the position and install the absorber control actuator.
b. Install the absorber control actuator to the actuator support bracket. Turn the actuator clockwise approximately 40° until a click is felt.
NOTE: Do not excessively turn the actuator.
2. INSTALL REAR SHOCK ABSORBER CAP
a. Connect the connector and install the shock absorber cap.
3. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER INNER
4. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER FRONT
5. INSTALL REAR FLOOR FINISH PLATE
6. INSTALL TOOL BOX
7. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER SIDE RH
8. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER SIDE LH
9. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT FLOOR MAT
10. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
11. PERFORM INITIALIZATION
a. Perform initialization.
NOTE: Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
