Steering Control ECU

STEERING CONTROL ECU

COMPONENTS:





REMOVAL
1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
2. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY NO.2





3. REMOVE STEERING CONTROL ECU
(a) Disconnect the 3 connectors form the steering control ECU.





(b) Remove the 3 screws and the steering control ECU.

INSTALLATION





1. INSTALL STEERING CONTROL ECU
(a) Install the steering control ECU with the 3 screws.

HINT:
^ Align positioning boss (A) of the blower assembly with the hole of the steering control ECU.
^ Securely engage the hook (B) of the steering control ECU with the blower assembly.





(b) Connect the 3 connectors to the steering control ECU.
2. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY NO.2
3. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
4. PERFORM INITIALIZATION
Some systems need initialization when disconnecting the cable from the negative battery terminal.
5. PERFORM VARIABLE GEAR RATIO STEERING SYSTEM CALIBRATION
