Auxiliary Power Outlet: Service and Repair

Center Power Outlet Socket:

REMOVAL

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.

2. REMOVE FRONT CONSOLE UPPER PANEL GARNISH
3. REMOVE CONSOLE UPPER PANEL ASSEMBLY
4. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL END RH
5. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL END LH
6. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX PLATE
7. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX REGISTER ASSEMBLY
8. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX
9. REMOVE REAR CONSOLE ARMREST ASSEMBLY
10. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX SUB-ASSEMBLY UPPER

11. REMOVE POWER OUTLET SOCKET ASSEMBLY
a. Rotate the socket to disengage the notch.

b. Pull out the socket halfway and rotate the socket until its protrusion is aligned with the groove of the cover.
c. Remove the socket from the cover.

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL POWER OUTLET SOCKET ASSEMBLY
a. Align the protrusion on the backside of the socket with the groove of the cover. Then push the socket into the cover.
b. Connect the connector.

2. INSTALL CONSOLE BOX SUB-ASSEMBLY
3. INSTALL REAR CONSOLE ARMREST ASSEMBLY
4. INSTALL CONSOLE BOX
5. INSTALL CONSOLE BOX REGISTER ASSEMBLY
6. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL END LH
7. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL END RH
8. INSTALL CONSOLE BOX PLATE
9. INSTALL CONSOLE UPPER PANEL ASSEMBLY
10. INSTALL FRONT CONSOLE UPPER PANEL GARNISH
11. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
12. PERFORM INITIALIZATION
a. Perform initialization

NOTE: Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
