Seat Temperature Switch: Testing and Inspection

SEAT HEATER SWITCH

INSPECTION
1. INSPECT SEAT HEATER SWITCH





a. Disconnect the K40 switch connector.
b. Measure the resistance of the switch.





HINT:
- As the dial is being turned, the resistance changes gradually.
- If the result is not as specified, replace the switch.

c. Connect the battery's positive (+) lead to terminal 4 (ILL+) and the negative (-) lead to terminal 12 (E).
d. Check the indicator light.





If the result is not as specified, replace the switch.

2. INSPECT SEAT HEATER SWITCH (w/ CLIMATE CONTROL SEAT SYSTEM)





a. Disconnect the K40 switch connector.
b. Measure the resistance of the switch.





HINT:
- As the dial is being turned, the resistance changes gradually.
- If the result is not as specified, replace the switch.

c. Connect the battery's positive (+) lead to terminal 4 (ILL+) and the negative (-) lead to terminal 12 (E).
d. Check the indicator light.





If the result is not as specified, replace the switch.
