Rear Seat Inner Belt Assembly:

REAR SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY

REMOVAL

HINT: A bolt without a torque specification is shown in the standard bolt chart.

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.

2. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY

3. REMOVE REAR SEAT BELT OUTER ANCHOR
a. Remove the bolt and anchor.

4. REMOVE REAR SEAT INNER WITH CENTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH
a. Disconnect the connector labeled A.
b. Remove the bolt and the anchor part of the rear seat inner with center belt assembly RH labeled B.

5. REMOVE REAR SEAT WITH CENTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH
a. Disconnect the connector labeled A.
b. Remove the bolt and the anchor part of the rear seat inner with center belt assembly LH labeled B.

6. REMOVE REAR SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY RH AND LH
a. Remove the 2 headrests.

7. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY
8. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE
9. REMOVE REAR SEAT SIDE GARNISH
10. REMOVE ROOF SIDE GARNISH INNER

11. REMOVE PACKAGE TRAY TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY (w/ Sunshade)

a. Using a moulding remover, detach the 4 claws and remove the belt guide LH.

HINT: Use the same procedures described for the RH side.

b. Using a moulding remover, detach the 4 claws and remove the belt guide center.

c. Detach the clip and remove the panel.

12. REMOVE PACKAGE TRAY TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY

a. Using a moulding remover, detach the 4 claws and remove the guide part of the rear seat outer belt assembly.

b. Using a moulding remover, detach the 4 claws and remove the guide part of the rear seat inner with center belt assembly RH.

c. Detach the clip and 5 claws.
d. Disconnect the connector and remove the package tray trim panel.

13. REMOVE REAR SEAT INNER WITH CENTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH
a. Remove the bolt and rear seat inner with center belt assembly RH.

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL REAR SEAT INNER WITH CENTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH

NOTE: Do not disassemble the retractor.

a. Align the seat belt positioning hole with the claw and install the retractor of the seat belt with the bolt as shown in the illustration.

Torque: 42 N.m (428 kgf.cm, 31 ft.lbf)

2. INSTALL PACKAGE TRAY TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY (w/ Sunshade)

a. Attach the clip and install the package tray trim panel.
b. Attach the 4 claws and install the belt guide center.

c. Attach the 4 claws and install the belt guide.

d. Attach the 4 claws and install the belt guide.

3. INSTALL PACKAGE TRAY TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY
a. Install the package tray trim panel.
1. Connect the connector.
2. Attach the 5 claws and clip, and install the panel.

4. INSTALL ROOF SIDE GARNISH INNER
5. INSTALL REAR SEAT SIDE GARNISH
6. INSTALL REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE

7. INSTALL REAR SEAT INNER WITH CENTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH
a. Install the seat belt with the bolt as shown in the illustration.
b. Connect the connector labeled A.

NOTE: Do not overlap the anchor part of the seat belt and protruding parts of the vehicle body.

Torque: 42 N.m (428 kgf.cm, 31 ft.lbf)

8. INSTALL REAR SEAT INNER WITH CENTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH
a. Install the anchor part of the rear seat inner with center belt assembly RH seat belt with the bolt as shown in the illustration.
b. Connect the connector labeled A.

NOTE: Do not overlap the anchor part of the seat belt and protruding parts of the vehicle body.

Torque: 42 N.m (428 kgf.cm, 31 ft.lbf)

9. INSTALL REAR SEAT BELT OUTER ANCHOR
a. Install the anchor part of the rear seat outer belt assembly with the bolt.

NOTE: Do not overlap the anchor part of the seat belt and protruding parts of the vehicle body.

Torque: 42 N.m (428 kgf.cm, 31 ft.lbf)

10. INSTALL REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY

11. INSTALL REAR SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY RH AND LH
a. Install the 2 headrests.

12. INSTALL REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY
13. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

14. PERFORM INITIALIZATION

NOTE: Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

a. Perform initialization.
