TELEPHONE ANTENNA

REMOVAL

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.

2. REMOVE ROOF HEADLINING ASSEMBLY
a. Remove the roof headlining.

3. REMOVE TELEPHONE ANTENNA ASSEMBLY




a. Detach the 4 claws and remove the 2 antenna cord connectors.




b. Detach the 2 claws and remove the protector.




c. Disconnect the 2 connectors.




d. Remove the antenna nut.




e. Detach the 2 claws and remove the telephone antenna.

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL TELEPHONE ANTENNA ASSEMBLY




a. Attach the 2 claws to install the telephone antenna.




b. Install the antenna nut.

Torque: 4.5 N.m (46 kgf.cm, 40 in.lbf)




c. Connect the 2 connectors.




d. Attach the 2 claws to install the protector.




e. Attach the 4 claws to install the 2 antenna cord connectors.

2. INSTALL ROOF HEADLINING ASSEMBLY
a. Install the roof headlining.

3. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

4. PERFORM INITIALIZATION
a. Perform initialization.

NOTE: Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

5. CHECK SRS WARNING LIGHT
a. Check the SRS warning light.
