Rear Active Stabilizer Control ECU

REMOVAL

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.

2. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER SIDE LH
3. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER SIDE RH
4. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT FLOOR MAT
5. REMOVE TOOL BOX
6. REMOVE REAR ACTIVE STABILIZER CONTROL ECU COVER
a. Disconnect the clamp from the cover.




b. Remove the 4 nuts and ECU cover.

7. REMOVE REAR ACTIVE STABILIZER CONTROL ECU
a. Using the procedures given, disconnect the 2 ECU connectors.
1. Release the lever's lock(*1).




2. Press the claw and move the lever in the direction of the arrow in the illustration(*2).
3. Disconnect the ECU connector(*3).

NOTE: When disconnecting the ECU connector, do not apply excessive force to the wire harness.

b. Remove the 2 clamps and packing, and move the disconnected side of the wire harness out of the vehicle.
c. Remove the 3 nuts and ECU.

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL REAR ACTIVE STABILIZER CONTROL ECU
a. Install the 2 clamps and wire harness packing.
b. Using the procedures given, connect the 2 ECU connectors.
1. Connect the ECU connector(*1).
2. Rotate the lever in the direction of the arrow until a "click" sound is heard(*2).
3. Lock the lever's lock(*3).




c. Install the ECU with the 3 nuts.

Torque: 8.5 N.m (87 kgf.cm, 75 in.lbf)

2. INSTALL REAR ACTIVE STABILIZER CONTROL ECU COVER
a. Install the ECU cover with the 4 nuts.

Torque: 8.5 N.m (87 kgf.cm, 75 in.lbf)




b. Connect the harness clamp to the ECU cover.

3. INSTALL TOOL BOX
4. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT FLOOR MAT
5. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER SIDE LH
6. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER SIDE RH
7. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
8. PERFORM INITIALIZATION
a. Perform initialization.

NOTE: Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
