Transfer Case Actuator: Testing and Inspection

TRANSFER CONTROL SOLENOID

INSPECTION





1. INSPECT TRANSFER CONTROL SOLENOID
a. Connect the battery's positive (+) terminal and a bulb of 12V - 21W to terminal 1 as shown in the illustration.
b. Connect the battery's negative (-) terminal to terminal 2 and check if the solenoid operates.
OK:
The solenoid operates and operating sound is heard.
c. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table.

Resistance:





If the resistance is not within the specified range, replace the transfer control solenoid.
