Introduction
Some customers may experience a buzz or slight rattle noise from the rear portion of the headliner when the vehicle hits small sharp bumps. It has been determined that the source of such a rattle may be the Tire Pressure Warning System (TPWS) antenna located above the headliner between the rear of the sliding roof opening and the top of the back glass.
To improve this condition, the rigidity of the bracket holding the TPWS Antenna to the roof cross brace has been increased. Replace the older style receiver assembly with the new type assembly on vehicles built PRIOR to the starting VIN shown below.

This repair is covered under the Lexus Comprehensive Warranty. This warranty is in effect for 48 months or 50,000 miles, whichever occurs first, from the vehicle's in-service date.
* Warranty application is limited to correction of a problem based upon a customer's specific complaint.
Components
Repair Procedure
1. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
2. Remove the roof headlining assembly.
NOTE:
Refer to the Technical Information System (TIS), 2007 model year ES 350 Repair Manual, Vehicle Interior - Interior Panels/Trim - "Interior: Roof Headlining: Removal".
3. Remove the tire pressure warning receiver assembly.
A. Disconnect the connector.
B. Remove the two nuts and the tire pressure warning receiver assembly.
