Removal and Replacement

REPLACEMENT

HINT:
- The installation procedures are the removal procedures in reverse order. However, only installation procedures requiring additional information are included.
- Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.
- The procedures listed are for the RH side.
- A bolt without a torque specification is shown in the standard bolt chart.




1. HALF OPEN ROOF PANEL
a. Refer to the MANUAL OPERATING procedures and half open the roof.

2. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY
3. REMOVE REAR SEAT HEADREST PLATE COVER
4. REMOVE WIND DEFLECTOR BOARD ASSEMBLY
5. REMOVE REAR SEAT HEADREST PLATE
6. REMOVE REAR SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY
7. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY

8. REMOVE DOOR SCUFF PLATE ASSEMBLY RH




a. Using a screwdriver, detach the 5 clips and claw, and remove the scuff plate.

HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

9. REMOVE QUARTER TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY FRONT RH




a. Using a screwdriver, detach the 4 claws and remove the front seat belt hole cover.

HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.




b. Remove the 6 screws and clips.
c. Detach the 4 clips, then remove the quarter trim panel.




10. REMOVE CENTER PILLAR UPPER END WEATHERSTRIP RH
a. Using a clip remover, detach the 4 clips.
b. Remove the weatherstrip.




11. REMOVE QUARTER BELT MOULDING RH
a. Using a moulding remover, remove the moulding.




12. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR WEATHERSTRIP
a. Using a clip remover, detach the 3 clips.
b. Remove the front part of the door weatherstrip.

13. REMOVE REAR SPEAKER ASSEMBLY




14. REMOVE QUARTER WINDOW ASSEMBLY RH
a. Remove the connector and grommet.
b. Remove the 2 bolts and 4 nuts.
c. Remove the quarter window.




15. REMOVE QUARTER WINDOW STOP
a. Remove the 2 bolts and 2 window stops.




16. REMOVE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY RH
a. Remove the 2 screws, regulator base plate and regulator motor.

17. REMOVE QUARTER WINDOW ASSEMBLY RH




a. When reusing the regulator:
Place matchmarks on the regulator to indicate the position of the nuts.




b. Remove the 3 nuts and quarter window.

18. INSTALL QUARTER WINDOW ASSEMBLY RH
a. Install the quarter window.




1. When using a new regulator:
Install the 3 nuts. Tighten the nuts as much as possible by hand.

HINT: The nuts will be tightened to a torque specification in step (22)




2. When reusing the regulator:
Align the matchmarks and tighten the 3 nuts.

Torque: 8.0 N.m (82 kgf.cm, 71 in.lbf).

19. INSTALL POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY RH
a. Install the power window regulator and regulator base plate with the 2 screws.

20. INSTALL QUARTER WINDOW STOP
a. Install the 2 quarter window stops with the 2 bolts. Tighten the bolts as much as possible by hand.

21. INSTALL QUARTER WINDOW ASSEMBLY RH
a. Install the quarter window to the vehicle body.
1. Loosely install the regulator's 2 bolts and nut.
2. Tighten the motor's 3 nuts.

Torque: 5.5 N.m (56 kgf.cm, 49 in.lbf)

22. ADJUST QUARTER WINDOW ASSEMBLY RH
23. INSTALL REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY

Torque:
18 N.m (184 kgf.cm, 13 ft.lbf) for bolt
18 N.m (184 kgf.cm, 13 ft.lbf) for nut

24. INSTALL REAR SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY

Torque: 5.0 N.m (51 kgf.cm, 44 in.lbf)

25. INSTALL WIND DEFLECTOR BOARD ASSEMBLY

Torque: 5.0 N.m (51 kgf.cm, 44 in.lbf).
