Power Window Can Be Operated After Ignition Switch Is Turned Off Even If Operative Conditions Are Not Met
POWER WINDOWS CAN BE OPERATED AFTER IGNITION SWITCH IS TURNED OFF EVEN IF OPERATIVE CONDITIONS ARE NOT METHINT: This symptom may occur to the right or left door windows. The flowchart is for the driver side window. If checking the passenger side window, check using the passenger side's components.
CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
The multiplex network door ECUs keep power supplied to the power window regulator master switch and the regulator switch for 43 seconds after the ignition switch is turned OFF. However, the multiplex network door ECUs will cut power to the master switch and regulator switch if: 1) either front door is opened, 2) a signal from either of the front door courtesy lamp switches is input to the multiplex network door ECUs within the 43 seconds, or 3) 43 seconds have passed with no power window activity.
