INSPECT YAW RATE SENSOR (INCLUDE DECELERATION SENSOR)

a. Connect 3 dry batteries of 1.5 V in series.
b. Connect terminal 8 (VYS) to the batteries's positive (+) terminal and terminal 5 (GYAW) to the batteries's negative (-) terminal. Apply about 4.5 V between terminals 8 (VYS) and 5 (GYAW).

NOTE: Do not apply voltage of 6 V or more to terminals 8 (VYS) and 5 (GYAW).

c. Measure the voltage when the sensor is tilted forward and rearward.

HINT:
If the sensor is tilted too much, it may output the wrong value.
If voltage is dropped, replace the sensor with a new one.
The sensor removed from the vehicle body should not be placed upside down.
If the result is not as specified, replace the yaw rate sensor (include deceleration sensor)
