INTRODUCTION:

To prevent damage, use the following procedures to remove and install the wheel cap.

APPLICABLE VEHICLES:
- 2006 model year SC 430 vehicles.

REMOVAL PROCEDURE:






Remove wheel cap.
1. Remove the tire and wheel from the vehicle.
2. Remove the wheel hub ornament.
3. On the inner side of the wheel, loosen the 5 nuts fixing the wheel cap in place.
4. On the inner side of the wheel, detach the wheel cap's 5 claws.
5. Remove the 5 nuts and wheel cap.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE:






Install wheel cap.
1. Install the wheel cap on to wheel.
2. Install and tighten the wheel cap's 5 nuts to the specified torque.

Torque: 6.0 N-m (60 kgf-cm, 53 in.-lbf)

NOTE:
- Care must be taken when installing the wheel cap to prevent contact between the wheel cap outer edges and the wheel. Failure to do so may result in wheel scratches and/or abnormal noises when driving.
- Install the wheel cap so that its outer edges do NOT contact the wheel. The distance between the wheel cap and wheel should be 1 mm (0.04 in.) 1 mm (0.04 in.) is approximately 10 sheets of paper.
- When tightening and installing the nuts, replace the wheel cap (P/N 42603-24340) with a new one if the bolts become loose.
