Replacement

REPLACEMENT
1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.

2. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER
3. REMOVE AIR CLEANER INLET NO.1
4. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT
5. REMOVE RADIATOR RESERVE TANK ASSEMBLY
6. REMOVE V-BANK COVER
7. REMOVE INTAKE AIR CONNECTOR PIPE
8. REMOVE AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY
9. DISCONNECT RADIATOR HOSE NO.1
10. DISCONNECT RADIATOR HOSE NO.2
11. DISCONNECT OIL COOLER INLET TUBE NO.1
12. DISCONNECT OIL COOLER OUTLET TUBE NO.1





13. REMOVE RADIATOR ASSEMBLY
a. Disconnect the cooling fan ECU connector.
b. Remove the 2 nuts and 2 radiator support brackets.
c. Remove the radiator and fan.
d. Remove the 2 grommets.
14. REMOVE FAN ASSEMBLY
a. Disconnect the radiator reservoir hose from the radiator.
b. Remove the 6 bolts and fan from the radiator.
15. INSTALL FAN ASSEMBLY
a. Install the fan assembly to the radiator with the 6 bolts.
Torque: 5.0 Nm (51 kgf-cm, 44 inch lbs.)
b. Connect the radiator reservoir hose to the radiator.
16. INSTALL RADIATOR ASSEMBLY
a. Install the 2 grommets to the radiator.
b. Attach the 2 grommets on the radiator to the body bracket.
c. Install the radiator and fan with the 2 radiator support brackets and 2 nuts.
Torque: 13.5 Nm (138 kgf-cm, 10 ft. lbs.)
d. Connect the cooling fan ECU connector.
17. CONNECT OIL COOLER OUTLET TUBE NO.1
18. CONNECT OIL COOLER INLET TUBE NO.1
19. CONNECT RADIATOR HOSE NO.2
20. CONNECT RADIATOR HOSE NO.1
21. INSTALL AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY
22. INSTALL INTAKE AIR CONNECTOR PIPE
23. INSTALL RADIATOR RESERVE TANK ALLY
24. ADD ENGINE COOLANT
25. CHECK FOR ENGINE COOLANT LEAKS
26. INSTALL AIR CLEANER INLET NO.1
27. INSTALL V-BANK COVER
28. INSTALL ENGINE UNDER COVER
29. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
30. PERFORM INITIALIZATION

NOTICE: Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
