RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY

REPLACEMENT

HINT: The installation procedures are the removal procedures in reverse order. However, only installation procedures requiring additional information are included.

1. SET RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY TO SHIPMENT MODE
a. Take out all CDs.

NOTE: If CD(s) cannot be taken out, do not attempt to take it out forcibly. Send the unit to a repair shop.




b. While simultaneously pressing the "SEEK UP" and "DISC" switches, turn the ignition switch to ACC.






HINT:
- The CD indicator lamp blinks during mode setting and it remains lit after the setting is completed.
- When the mode setting is completed, "SHIPMENT" appears on the display.

c. Turn the ignition switch OFF.

HINT: Disconnecting the cable from the battery.

2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.

3. REMOVE CONSOLE UPPER PANEL GARNISH REAR
4. REMOVE CONSOLE PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY UPPER
5. REMOVE AIR CONDITIONER CONTROL ASSEMBLY




6. REMOVE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY LOWER CENTER
a. Remove the 4 bolts.
b. Disconnect the connector, then remove the radio receiver and panel.




7. CONFIRM RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY SHIPMENT MODE SETTING
a. Look at the backside of the radio receiver and check that a red section can be seen through the hole near the"SHIP" mark.

NOTE: If a red section cannot be seen, perform the shipment mode setting again.




8. REMOVE RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY
a. Remove the 4 screws and 2 panel retainers.
b. Remove the 4 bolts on each side.
c. Press the 2 claws shown in the illustration to detach it is meshing and remove the panel.

NOTE: Do not forcibly press the claw as it may break.




d. Remove the 2 screws and bracket No. 1.
e. Remove the 2 screws and bracket No. 2.

9. INSTALL INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY LOWER CENTER

NOTE:
- If the connector is installed with the battery connected, the system will start initialization.
- Vibration during initialization may cause problems in the radio receiver.

10. INSTALL RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY
11. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
12. PERFORM INITIALIZATION Programming and Relearning

NOTE: Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

13. CHECK SRS WARNING LAMP
