DTC B1187/55 SHORT IN P SQUIB (2ND STEP) CIRCUIT (TO GROUND)CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
DTC Detection Condition:
The P squib (2nd step) circuit consists of the airbag sensor center and the front passenger airbag. The circuit instructs the SRS to deploy when SRS deployment conditions are met.
DTC B1187/55 is recorded when a short circuit is detected in the P squib (2nd step) circuit.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
CAUTION: Be sure to perform the following procedures before troubleshooting to avoid unexpected airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.
a. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
b. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal, and wait for at least 90 seconds.
c. Disconnect the connectors from the airbag sensor center.
d. Disconnect the connector from the horn button.
e. Disconnect the connector from the front passenger airbag.
f. Disconnect the connector from the front seat airbag LH.
g. Disconnect the connector from the front seat airbag RH.
h. Disconnect the connector from the front seat outer belt LH.
i. Disconnect the connector from the front seat outer belt RH.
