Component Inspection
INSPECTION1. INSPECT DOOR CLOSER MOTOR ASSEMBLY (DRIVER SIDE)
a. Apply battery voltage and check operation of the door lock link.
If the result is not as specified, replace the motor assembly.
2. INSPECT COMBINATION SWITCH ASSEMBLY (DRIVER SIDE)
a. Measure the resistance of the half latch and full latch switches.
If the result is not as specified, replace the switch assembly.
b. Measure the resistance of the pawl switch.
If the result is not as specified, replace the switch assembly.
3. INSPECT DOOR CLOSER MOTOR ASSEMBLY (PASSENGER SIDE)
a. Apply battery voltage and check operation of the door closer link.
If the result is not as specified, replace the motor assembly.
4. INSPECT COMBINATION SWITCH ASSEMBLY (PASSENGER SIDE)
a. Measure the resistance of the half latch and full latch switch.
If the result is not as specified, replace the switch assembly.
b. Measure the resistance of the pawl switch.
If the result is not as specified, replace the switch assembly.
5. INSPECT DOOR CLOSER MOTOR ASSEMBLY (REAR LEFT SIDE)
a. Apply battery voltage and check operation of the door closer link.
If the result is not as specified, replace the motor assembly.
6. INSPECT COMBINATION SWITCH ASSEMBLY (REAR LEFT SIDE)
a. Measure the resistance of the half latch and full latch switch.
If the result is not as specified, replace the switch assembly.
b. Measure the resistance of the pawl switch.
If the result is not as specified, replace the switch assembly.
7. INSPECT DOOR CLOSER MOTOR ASSEMBLY (REAR RIGHT SIDE)
a. Apply battery voltage and check operation of the door lock link.
If the result is not as specified, replace the motor assembly.
8. INSPECT COMBINATION SWITCH ASSEMBLY (REAR RIGHT SIDE)
a. Measure the resistance of the half latch and full latch switches.
If the result is not as specified, replace the switch assembly.
b. Measure the resistance of the pawl switch.
If the result is not as specified, replace the switch assembly.
