Seat Belt Systems: Service and Repair
REMOVAL1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL (for Manual Seat)
CAUTION: Wait for 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable to prevent airbag deployment.
2. REMOVE FRONT SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY
3. REMOVE FRONT OUTER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER (for Manual Seat)
4. REMOVE FRONT INNER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER (for Manual Seat)
5. REMOVE REAR OUTER SEAT TRACK COVER (for Manual Seat)
6. REMOVE REAR INNER SEAT TRACK COVER (for Manual Seat)
7. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Manual Seat)
8. REMOVE FRONT OUTER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER (for Power Seat)
9. REMOVE FRONT INNER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER (for Power Seat)
10. REMOVE REAR OUTER SEAT TRACK COVER (for Power Seat)
11. REMOVE REAR INNER SEAT TRACK COVER (for Power Seat)
12. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Power Seat)
13. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY (for Manual Seat)
a. Disconnect the connector and detach the 3 clamps.
b. Remove the nut and front seat inner belt assembly.
14. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY (for Power Seat)
a. Disconnect the connector and detach the 4 clamps.
b. Remove the nut and front seat inner belt assembly.
INSTALLATION
1. INSTALL FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY (for Manual Seat)
a. Install the front seat inner belt assembly with the nut.
Torque: 42 N.m (428 kgf.cm, 31 ft.lbf)
NOTE: Do not allow the anchor part of the front seat inner belt assembly to overlap the protruding parts of the front seat adjuster.
b. Connect the connector and attach the 3 clamps.
2. INSTALL FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY (for Power Seat)
a. Install the front seat inner belt assembly with the nut.
Torque: 42 N.m (428 kgf.cm, 31 ft.lbf)
NOTE: Do not allow the anchor part of the front seat inner belt assembly to overlap the protruding parts of the front seat adjuster.
b. Connect the connector and attach the 4 clamps.
3. INSTALL FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Manual Seat)
4. INSTALL REAR INNER SEAT TRACK COVER (for Manual Seat)
5. INSTALL REAR OUTER SEAT TRACK COVER (for Manual Seat)
6. INSTALL FRONT INNER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER (for Manual Seat)
7. INSTALL FRONT OUTER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER (for Manual Seat)
8. INSTALL FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Power Seat)
9. INSTALL REAR INNER SEAT TRACK COVER (for Power Seat)
10. INSTALL REAR OUTER SEAT TRACK COVER (for Power Seat)
11. INSTALL FRONT INNER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER (for Power Seat)
12. INSTALL FRONT OUTER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER (for Power Seat)
13. INSTALL FRONT SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY
14. PERFORM INITIALIZATION
HINT: Some systems need initialization after reconnecting the cable to the negative battery terminal.
15. INSPECT SLIDE ADJUSTER LOCK (for Manual Seat)
16. INSPECT FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Power Seat)
17. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT Inspect the SRS warning light.
