SST 09727-30021 (09727-00010, 09727-00021, 09727-00031)
b. Compress the rear coil spring until it can be moved freely

NOTICE: Do not use an impact wrench. It will damage the SST.

HINT: The rear coil spring can also be compressed using a hydraulic spring compressor.

c. Remove the nut.
d. Remove the rear shock absorber cushion washer No. 1, rear shock absorber cushion No. 1, rear suspension support assembly, rear coil spring insulator upper, collar, rear shock absorber cushion No. 2, and rear spring bumper No. 1.
e. Remove the rear coil spring and rear coil spring insulator lower from the rear shock absorber. Release the SST and remove the rear coil spring.

INSPECTION
1. INSPECT REAR SHOCK ABSORBER

a. Extend and compress the rear shock absorber.
Standard: When extending and compressing the rear shock absorber at a constant speed, it can be moved without any abnormal resistance or noise and load is constant through the entire stroke. It also extends at a constant speed after being compressed.
If there is any abnormality, replace the rear shock absorber with a new one.

b. Check that there is a difference in the damping force when the rod is positioned as shown. (for AVS)

REASSEMBLY
1. INSTALL REAR SHOCK ABSORBER

a. Using SST, compress the rear coil spring.
SST 09727-30021 (09727-00010, 09727-00021, 09727-00031)

NOTICE: Do not use an impact wrench. It will damage the SST.

HINT: The rear coil spring can also be compressed using a hydraulic spring compressor.

b. Install the rear coil spring insulator lower and fit the rear coil spring end into the recessed part of the rear shock absorber lower seat.
c. Install the rear spring bumper No. 1.
d. Install the rear coil spring insulator upper, rear shock absorber cushions No. 1 and No. 2, and collar to the rear suspension support assembly.

NOTICE: Make sure that the rear shock absorber cushions No. 1 and No. 2 are installed in the correct direction.

e. Install the rear suspension support assembly and rear shock absorber cushion washer No. 1.

NOTICE: Make sure that the rear shock absorber cushion washer No. 1 is installed with the recessed part facing upward.

f. Align the width across flat on the piston rod end of the shock absorber and the width across flat on the suspension support bracket. Then align the center of the actuator support bracket and the stud bolt as shown in the illustration to install the rear suspension support to the rear shock absorber. (for AVS)
g. Temporarily tighten a nut.

h. Adjust the rear suspension support assembly to the installation position of the lower part of the rear shock absorber so that the studs are positioned as shown in the illustration.

NOTICE: Make sure that the left coil spring end faces toward the front of the vehicle and the right coil spring end faces toward the rear.

i. Release the SST and remove it from the rear coil spring.

NOTICE:
^ Do not an impact wrench. It will damage the SST.
^ Remove the SST after confirming the position of the rear suspension support assembly.

INSTALLATION
1. INSTALL REAR SHOCK ABSORBER WITH COIL SPRING
