Ride Height Sensor: Testing and Inspection
HEIGHT CONTROL SENSORINSPECTION
1. REMOVE HEIGHT CONTROL SENSOR SUBASSEMBLY FRONT
a. Connect the 3 dry cell batteries (1.5 V) in series.
b. Remove the height control sensor.
c. Connect the positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 1 and the negative (-) lead from the battery to terminal 3.
d. Measure the voltage between terminals 2 and 1 while slowly moving the link up and down.
If the result is not as specified, replace the sensor.
2. REMOVE HEIGHT CONTROL SENSOR SUBASSEMBLY REAR
a. Connect the 3 dry cell batteries (1.5 V) in series.
b. Remove the height control sensor.
c. Connect the positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 1 and the negative (-) lead from the battery to terminal 3.
d. Measure the voltage between terminals 2 and 1 while slowly moving the link up and down.
If the result is not as specified, replace the sensor.
