Rear Suspension No. 2 Arm
REAR SUSPENSION NO. 2 ARMCOMPONENTS:
REMOVAL
1. REMOVE REAR TIRE
2. REMOVE DIFFERENTIAL SUPPORT NO. 2 PROTECTOR
3. REMOVE REAR SUSPENSION MEMBER BRACE
4. REMOVE REAR SUSPENSION NO. 2 ARM
a. Remove the bolt and nut, and disconnect the rear stabilizer link assembly and the load sensing valve sensor bracket.
b. Remove the bolt and nut, and disconnect the rear shock absorber with coil spring.
NOTICE: Turn the bolt while holding the nut.
c. Remove the nut and bolt on the axle carrier side, and separate the rear suspension No. 2 arm.
NOTICE: Turn the bolt while holding the nut.
d. Remove the bolt, nut, and washer on the rear suspension member side, and remove the rear suspension No. 2 arm.
INSTALLATION
1. TEMPORARILY TIGHTEN REAR SUSPENSION NO. 2 ARM
a. Temporarily install the rear suspension No. 2 arm with the bolt, nut and washer.
b. Temporarily install the rear suspension No. 2 arm with the bolt and nut.
c. Temporarily install the rear shock absorber with coil spring with the bolt and nut.
d. Temporarily install the stabilizer link assembly and the load sensing valve sensor bracket to the rear suspension No. 2 arm with the bolt and nut.
2. STABILIZE SUSPENSION
a. Jack up the axle carrier, with a wooden block placed between the jack and axle carrier, to apply load to the rear suspension so that the rear drive shaft assembly becomes level.
3. FULLY TIGHTEN REAR SUSPENSION NO. 2 ARM
a. Fully tighten the bolt on the axle carrier side.
Torque: 161 Nm (1,640 kgf-cm, 119 ft. lbs.)
NOTICE: Turn the bolt while holding the nut.
b. Fully tighten the bolt holding the rear shock absorber with coil spring.
Torque: 110 Nm (1,120 kgf-cm, 81 ft. lbs.)
NOTICE: Turn the bolt while holding the nut.
c. Fully tighten the nut holding the rear stabilizer link assembly.
Torque: 27 Nm (275 kgf-cm, 20 ft. lbs.)
d. Fully tighten the nut on the rear suspension member side.
Torque: 140 Nm (1,430 kgf-cm, 103 ft. lbs.)
4. INSTALL REAR SUSPENSION MEMBER BRACE
5. INSTALL DIFFERENTIAL SUPPORT NO. 2 PROTECTOR
6. INSTALL REAR TIRE
Torque: 103 Nm (1,050 kgf-cm, 76 ft. lbs.)
7. INSPECT AND ADJUST REAR WHEEL ALIGNMENT
8. VEHICLE PREPARATION FOR HEADLIGHT AIM ADJUSTMENT
9. PREPARATION FOR HEADLIGHT AIMING
10. HEADLIGHT AIMING INSPECTION
