Rear Suspension No. 1 Arm

REAR SUSPENSION NO. 1 ARM

COMPONENTS:





REMOVAL
1. REMOVE REAR TIRE
2. REMOVE DIFFERENTIAL NO. 2 SUPPORT PROTECTOR





3. REMOVE REAR FLOOR SIDE MEMBER COVER
a. Remove the 2 screws and the rear floor side member cover LH.





4. REMOVE REAR SUSPENSION NO. 1 ARM
a. Remove the 2 bolts, 2 nuts and rear suspension No. 1 arm.

NOTICE: Turn the bolt while holding the nut.

INSTALLATION





1. TEMPORARILY TIGHTEN REAR SUSPENSION NO. 1 ARM
a. Temporarily install the rear suspension No. 1 arm with the 2 bolts and 2 nuts.





2. STABILIZE SUSPENSION
a. Jack up the axle carrier, with a wooden block placed between the jack and axle carrier, to apply load to the rear suspension so that the rear drive shaft assembly becomes level.





3. FULLY TIGHTEN REAR SUSPENSION NO. 1 ARM
a. Fully tighten the 2 bolts.
Torque:
Bolt A 95 Nm (970 kgf-cm, 70 ft. lbs.)
Bolt B 100 Nm (1,020 kgf-cm, 74 ft. lbs.)

NOTICE: Turn the bolt while holding the nut.





4. INSTALL REAR FLOOR SIDE MEMBER COVER
a. Install the rear floor side member cover LH with the 2 screws.

5. INSTALL DIFFERENTIAL SUPPORT NO. 2 PROTECTOR
6. INSTALL REAR TIRE
Torque: 103 Nm (1,050 kgf-cm, 76 ft. lbs.)

7. INSPECT AND ADJUST REAR WHEEL ALIGNMENT
8. VEHICLE PREPARATION FOR HEADLIGHT AIM ADJUSTMENT
9. PREPARATION FOR HEADLIGHT AIMING
10. HEADLIGHT AIMING INSPECTION
11. HEADLIGHT AIMING ADJUSTMENT
