Rear Upper Control Arm

INSPECTION





1. INSPECT REAR NO. 2 UPPER CONTROL ARM
a. Temporarily install the nut, and flip the ball joint stud back and forth 5 times as shown in the illustration.
b. Use a torque wrench to turn the nut continuously at a rate of 3 to 5 seconds per turn. Take the torque reading on the 5th turn.
Turning torque: 3.4 Nm (35 kgf-cm, 2.5 ft. lbs.)
If the value is not within the specified range, replace the rear no. 2 upper control arm with a new one.
c. Check the dust boot for cracks or grease leakage.
