Removal and Installation
REMOVALHINT:
- Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.
- The procedures listed are for the RH side.
- A bolt without a torque specification is shown in the standard bolt chart.
1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.
2. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY
3. REMOVE REAR SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY RH AND LH
4. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY
5. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE
6. REMOVE REAR SEAT SIDE GARNISH
7. REMOVE ROOF SIDE GARNISH
8. REMOVE REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ANCHOR
a. Remove the bolt and anchor part of the rear seat outer belt assembly.
9. REMOVE REAR SEAT INNER WITH CENTER BELT ANCHOR RH
a. Disconnect the connector labeled A.
b. Remove the bolt and seat belt labeled B.
10. REMOVE PACKAGE TRAY TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY (w/ Sunshade)
11. REMOVE PACKAGE TRAY TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY
12. REMOVE REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY
a. Disconnect the pretensioner connector, as shown in the illustration.
b. Disconnect the tension reducer connector.
c. Remove the 2 bolts and seat belt.
INSTALLATION
1. INSTALL REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY
a. Align the seat belt positioning hole with the claw and install the retractor of the seat belt with the 2 bolts. First install the rear bolt, and then install the front bolt.
Torque: 42 N.m (428 kgf.cm, 31 ft.lbf) for bolt A
7.5 N.m (77 kgf.cm, 66 in.lbf) for bolt B
b. Connect the pretensioner connector, as shown in the illustration.
c. Connect the tension reducer connector.
2. INSTALL PACKAGE TRAY TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY (w/ Sunshade)
3. INSTALL PACKAGE TRAY TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY
4. INSTALL REAR SEAT INNER WITH CENTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH
5. INSTALL REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ANCHOR
6. INSTALL ROOF SIDE GARNISH
7. INSTALL REAR SEAT SIDE GARNISH
8. INSTALL REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE
9. INSTALL REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY
10. INSTALL REAR SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY RH AND LH
11. INSTALL REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY
12. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
13. PERFORM INITIALIZATION
NOTE: Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
a. Perform initialization.
