- When deceleration at vehicle's front collision is detected with electronic sensor (Built in the airbag sensor assembly) and the result that the deceleration is calculated in certain formula exceeds a predetermined value, and the safing sensor (Built-in in the airbag senor assembly) is turned ON, electricity is applied to the squib to ignite.
- When deceleration at vehicle's side collision is detected with electronic sensor (Built in in the side airbag sensor), the result that the deceleration is calculated in certain formula exceeds a predetermined value, and the safing sensor (Built in the airbag sensor assembly) is turned ON, electricity is applied to the squib to ignite.
- Fuel cut signal are sent through the body multiple bus.
- The door lock release signal are sent linearly from the airbag sensor assembly.
- The airbag sensor assembly has diagnosis function to detect abnormality in each portion as well.
- The back-up power source is enclosed in the sensor assembly.
- To reduce repair cost after the airbag deployment, the airbag and the seat belt pretensioner in passenger seat side do not activate when no occupant is detected on the front passenger seat at front collision.
