Removal and Installation
REMOVAL1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
NOTE: Wait for 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable to prevent the airbag working.
2. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY
3. REMOVE REAR SEAT LH AND RH HEADREST ASSEMBLY
4. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY
5. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE
6. REMOVE REAR SEAT AIRBAG ASSEMBLY
a. Disconnect the connector.
NOTE: When handling the airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.
b. Remove the 2 bolts.
c. Disengage the 3 claws and remove the rear seat airbag assembly.
INSTALLATION
1. INSTALL REAR SEAT AIRBAG ASSEMBLY
a. Engage the 3 claws and install the rear seat airbag assembly.
b. Install the 2 bolts. Be sure to tighten bolt A before tightening bolt B.
Torque: 14 N.m (143 kgf.cm, 10 ft.lbf)
c. Connect the connector.
NOTE: When handling the airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.
2. INSTALL REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE
3. INSTALL REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY
4. INSTALL REAR SEAT LH AND RH HEADREST ASSEMBLY
5. INSTALL REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY
6. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
7. PERFORM INITIALIZATION
8. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT
