Applicability

Introduction

Some 2006 Model year G5300 vehicles may exhibit a harsh 2-1 downshift when coming to a stop. Use the repair procedure in this bulletin to address this condition.

Repair Procedure

1. Test drive the vehicle and confirm the condition.

2. Is there a harsh 2-1 downshift at slow speeds when coming to a stop?

^ YES - Go to Step 3.

^ NO - This Service Bulletin does NOT apply continue diagnoses per the Repair Manual.

3. Replace the ECM.

NOTE

Before replacing the ECM for this issue, perform basic transmission checks including fluid level inspection to confirm there are no other transmission related issues.

4. Test drive and confirm the repair.
