Fuel Pump (for High Pressure)

ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION

1. CHECK HIGH PRESSURE SIDE FUEL PUMP OPERATION




a. Remove the V-bank cover.
b. Start the engine.
c. Using a sound scope, check the operating sound of the pump.

If there is no sound, check the fuel pump, wire harness and ECM.

d. Stop the engine.
e. Reinstall the V-bank cover.

2. INSPECT HIGH PRESSURE SIDE FUEL PUMP




a. Measure the resistance between the terminals.

Standard resistance:1.19 to 1.39 Ohms at 20 degrees C (68 degrees F)

If the result is not as specified, replace the fuel pump.
