Combination Meter

COMBINATION METER

REMOVAL

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.

2. REMOVE STEERING COLUMN COVER UPPER
3. REMOVE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY




a. Using a screwdriver, detach the 5 clips.

HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

b. Remove the cluster finish panel and then disconnect the connector.

4. REMOVE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY




a. Remove the 4 screws.
b. Disconnect the connector and remove the combination meter.

5. REMOVE COMBINATION METER GLASS




a. Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 claws and open the cover.

HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.




b. Disconnect the 3 connectors.




c. Detach the 7 claws and remove the glass.

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL COMBINATION METER GLASS




a. Install the glass and attach the 7 claws.




b. Install the combination meter glass's wire harness with the clamps.




c. Connect the 3 connectors.




d. Close the cover.
e. Attach the 2 claws.

2. INSTALL COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY




a. Connect the connector.
b. Install the combination meter with the 4 screws.

3. INSTALL INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY




a. Connect the connector.
b. Attach the 5 clips to install the cluster finish panel.

4. INSTALL STEERING COLUMN COVER UPPER
5. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
6. PERFORM INITIALIZATION

NOTE: Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

Perform initialization.

7. CHECK SRS WARNING LIGHT
Check SRS warning light.
