Rear Speed Sensor
REAR SPEED SENSORComponents:
REMOVAL
HINT:
^ Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.
^ The procedures listed below are for the LH side.
1. REMOVE REAR WHEEL
2. REMOVE SPEED SENSOR REAR LH
a. Disconnect the speed sensor rear LH connector.
b. Remove the bolt and speed sensor rear LH.
NOTICE: Prevent foreign matter from attaching to the sensor tip.
INSPECTION
1. INSPECT SPEED SENSOR REAR
a. Inspect the speed sensor rear. If any of the following occurs, replace the speed sensor rear with a new one:
^ The surface of the speed sensor rear is cracked, dented, or chipped off.
^ The connector or wire harness is scratched, cracked, or damaged.
^ The speed sensor rear has been dropped.
INSTALLATION
1. INSTALL SPEED SENSOR REAR LH
a. Install the speed sensor rear with the bolt.
Torque: 8.5 Nm (87 kgf-cm, 75 inch lbs.)
NOTICE: Prevent foreign matter from attaching to the sensor tip.
b. Connect the speed sensor connector.
2. INSTALL REAR WHEEL
a. Install the rear wheel.
Torque: 103 Nm (1,050 kgf-cm, 76 ft. lbs.)
3. INSPECT SPEED SENSOR SIGNAL
