FRONT BRAKE FLEXIBLE HOSEComponents 3UZ-FE:
REMOVAL
HINT:
^ Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.
^ The procedure listed below are for the LH side.
1. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL
2. DRAIN BRAKE FLUID
3. REMOVE FRONT BRAKE FLEXIBLE HOSE
a. Remove the brake tube with a SST while holding the front brake flexible hose with a wrench.
SST 09023-00101
NOTICE:
^ Do not bend or damage the brake tube.
^ Do not allow any foreign matter such as dirt and dust to enter the brake tube from the connecting points.
b. Remove the clip.
c. Remove the union bolt, the front brake flexible hose and gasket.
INSTALLATION
1. INSTALL FRONT BRAKE FLEXIBLE HOSE
a. Connect the front brake flexible hose with the union bolt and a new gasket.
Torque: 3GR-FSE 30 Nm (306 kgf-cm, 22 ft. lbs.)
NOTICE: Install the flexible hose lock securely in the lock hole in the disc brake cylinder assembly front
b. Connect the brake tube to front brake flexible hose with a SST while holding flexible hose with a wrench.
SST 09023-00101
Torque: 15 Nm (155 kgf-cm, 11 ft. lbs.)
NOTICE:
^ Do not bend or damage the brake tube
^ Do not allow any foreign matter such as dirt and dust to enter the brake tube from the connecting points.
c. Install the front brake flexible hose with a new clip.
NOTICE:
^ When installing the front brake flexible hose, face the identification mark to the outside of the vehicle and minimize twisting of the hose.
^ Install the clip as it will go.
^ Pay attention to the color of the identification mark (RH: white/white, LH: white/blue) because the front brake flexible hose is different between right and left (4WD vehicle).
2. DISABLE BRAKE CONTROL (w/ECB)
3. ADD RESERVOIR WITH BRAKE FLUID (w/VSC)
4. ADD RESERVOIR WITH BRAKE FLUID (w/ECB)
5. BLEED BRAKE LINE (w/VSC)
6. BLEED FRONT BRAKE SYSTEMS (w/ECB)
7. BLEED REAR BRAKE SYSTEM (w/ECB)
8. INSPECT FLUID LEVEL IN RESERVOIR (w/VSC)
9. CHECK BRAKE FLUID LEVEL (w/ECB)
10. CHECK AND CLEAR DTC (w/VSC)
11. CHECK AND CLEAR DTC (w/ECB)
12. INSPECT BRAKE FLUID LEAKAGE
13. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL
Torque: 103 Nm (1,050 kgf-cm, 76 ft. lbs.)
