Overhaul
INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY PADDISASSEMBLY
1.REMOVE SIDE NO. 1 DEFROSTER NOZZLE DUCT
a. Remove the screw and duct.
2. REMOVE SIDE NO. 2 DEFROSTER NOZZLE DUCT
a. Remove the screw and duct.
3. REMOVE DEFROSTER NOZZLE ASSEMBLY
a. Remove the 3 screws and nozzle.
4. REMOVE NO. 3 HEATER TO REGISTER DUCT
a. Remove the 3 screws and duct.
5. REMOVE NO. 1 HEATER TO REGISTER DUCT
a. Remove the 3 screws and duct.
6. REMOVE NO. 2 HEATER TO REGISTER DUCT
a. Remove the 4 screws and duct.
7. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL NO. 2 REGISTER ASSEMBLY
a. Using a screwdriver, detach the 4 claws.
HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
b. Using a screwdriver, detach the 6 clips and remove the register.
HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
8. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL NO. 3 REGISTER ASSEMBLY
a. Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 claws.
HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
b. Using a screwdriver, detach the 6 claws and remove the register.
HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
9. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL NO. 1 REGISTER ASSEMBLY
a. Using a screwdriver, detach the 6 claws and remove the register.
HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
10. REMOVE FRONT PASSENGER AIRBAG ASSEMBLY
11. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL NO. 2 SPEAKER PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY
a. Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 clips and 2 claws.
HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
b. Remove the speaker panel.
12. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL NO. 1 SPEAKER PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY
a. Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 clips and 2 claws.
HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
b. Remove the speaker panel.
13. REMOVE NO.1 SPEAKER HOLE COVER
a. Using a screwdriver, detach the 4 clips and remove the speaker panel.
HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
14. REMOVE FRONT NO. 2 SPEAKER RH
15. REMOVE FRONT NO. 2 SPEAKER LH
16. REMOVE FRONT STEREO COMPONENT SPEAKER
17. REMOVE ENGINE SWITCH
a. Remove the engine switch.
REASSEMBLY
HINT: A bolt without a torque specification is shown in the standard bolt chart.
1. INSTALL ENGINE SWITCH
a. Install the engine switch.
2. INSTALL FRONT STEREO COMPONENT SPEAKER
3. INSTALL FRONT NO. 2 SPEAKER LH
4. INSTALL FRONT NO. 2 SPEAKER RH
5. INSTALL NO. 1 SPEAKER HOLE COVER
a. Attach the 4 clips to install the speaker panel.
6. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL NO. 1 SPEAKER PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY
a. Attach the 2 claws and 2 clips to install the speaker panel.
7. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL NO. 2 SPEAKER PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY
a. Attach the 2 claws and 2 clips to install the speaker panel.
8. INSTALL FRONT PASSENGER AIRBAG ASSEMBLY
9. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL NO. 1 REGISTER ASSEMBLY
a. Attach the 6 claws to install the register.
10. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL NO. 3 REGISTER ASSEMBLY
a. Attach the 8 claws to install the register.
11. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL NO. 2 REGISTER ASSEMBLY
a. Attach the 6 clips and 4 claws to install the register.
12. INSTALL NO. 2 HEATER TO REGISTER DUCT
a. Install the duct with the 4 screws.
13. INSTALL NO. 1 HEATER TO REGISTER DUCT
a. Install the duct with the 3 screws.
14. INSTALL NO. 3 HEATER TO REGISTER DUCT
a. Install the duct with the 3 screws.
15. INSTALL DEFROSTER NOZZLE ASSEMBLY
a. Install the duct with the 3 screws.
16. INSTALL SIDE NO. 2 DEFROSTER NOZZLE DUCT
a. Install the duct with the screw.
17. INSTALL SIDE DEFROSTER NOZZLE DUCT NO. 1
a. Install the duct with the screw.
