Seat Belt: Testing and Inspection
INSPECT FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY LH
a. When fastening the seat belt (Buckle switch is OFF):
1. Measure the resistance between the terminals.
If the result is not as specified, replace the front seat inner belt assembly.
b. When releasing the seat belt (Buckle switch is ON):
1. Measure the resistance between the terminals.
If the result is not as specified, replace the front seat inner assembly.
INSPECT FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY RH
a. When fastening the seat belt (Buckle switch is ON):
1. Measure the resistance between the terminals.
If the result is not as specified, replace the front seat inner belt assembly.
b. When releasing the seat belt (Buckle switch is OFF):
1. Measure the resistance between the terminals.
If the result is not as specified, replace the front seat inner belt assembly.
INSPECT FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH
a. Inspect the operation.
1. Connecting the battery positive to terminal 1 and the battery negative to terminal 2, check the operating noise that the magnetized solenoid is attracting the plunger.
2. Check that the rewinding volume of the seat belt will increase when the seat belt is pulled out and the battery negative is disconnected.
NOTE: Do not apply battery voltage to the pretensioner connector. If the result is not as specified, replace the front seat outer belt assembly.
INSPECT FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH
a. Inspect the operation.
1. Connecting the battery positive to terminal 1 and the battery negative to terminal 2, check the operating noise that the magnetized solenoid is attracting the plunger.
2. Check that the rewinding volume of the seat belt will increase when the seat belt is pulled out and the battery negative is disconnected.
