REPLACEMENT

NOTICE: When working with FIPG material, perform the following:
^ Using a razor blade and gasket scraper, remove all old FIPG material from the gasket surfaces.
^ Clean all components thoroughly to remove all foreign matter.
^ Clean both sealing surfaces with a non-residue solvent.
^ Apply FIPG material in a bead of approximately 1 mm (0.04 inch) on the sealing surface.
^ Reassemble parts within 10 minutes of applying FIPG material. Failing to do so will require the FIPG material to be removed and reapplied.

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat pretensioner activation.

Steel (magnetic): bearing, gear and clutch plate wear
Brass (non-magnetic): bushing wear

5. REMOVE VALVE BODY OIL STRAINER ASSY
a. Remove the 4 bolts and oil strainer.

NOTICE: Be careful as some fluid will leak out of the oil strainer.
