CHECK DTC (NOT USING HAND-HELD TESTER)




a. Turn the ignition switch ON.
b. Using SST, connect terminals 13 (TC) and 4 (CG) of the DLC3.

c. Read DTCs by observing the MIL. If no DTC is detected, the tire pressure warning lamp flashes the pattern for the "Normal Code" shown in the illustration.
d. If DTCs 16 and 56 are detected, the warning lamp flashes the pattern for codes 16 and 56 shown in the illustration. If the interval between the previous DTC and the next DTC is 4.5 seconds, it means the previous DTC is the last one of the multiple string of DTCs. The warning lamp repeats the indication of DTCs from the lowest numbered code.
e. Check the details of the malfunction using the DTC chart
f. After completing the check, disconnect terminals 13 (TC) and 4 (CG) and turn off the display.
