Rear Suspension Arm Assy No. 2

REPLACEMENT

HINT:
^ Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.
^ The procedures listed are for the LH side.
^ A bolt without a torque specification is shown in the standard bolt chart.

1. REMOVE WHEEL HUB ORNAMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY
a. Remove the 10 bolts and ornament.
2. REMOVE REAR WHEEL
a. Remove the 5 nuts and wheel.





3. REMOVE REAR SUSPENSION ARM ASSEMBLY NO. 2 LH
a. Remove the bolt and nut, and disconnect the stabilizer link and the height control link from the rear suspension arm assembly No. 2.





b. Remove the bolt and nut, and disconnect the shock absorber from the rear suspension arm No. 2.





c. Place matchmarks on the adjusting cam and rear suspension arm No. 2.
d. Remove the nut, camber adjusting cam No. 2 and camber adjusting cam No. 1. Then disconnect the rear suspension arm No. 2 from the axle carrier.





e. Remove the bolt, nut, washer and rear suspension arm No. 2.
4. TEMPORARILY INSTALL REAR SUSPENSION ARM ASSEMBLY NO. 2 LH
a. Temporarily install the rear suspension arm No. 2 to the suspension member with the bolt, washer and nut.

HINT: After stabilizing the suspension, tighten the nut.

b. Install the nut, camber adjusting cam No. 2 and camber adjusting cam No. 1.





c. Align the matchmarks on the adjusting cam and rear suspension arm No. 2.

HINT: After stabilizing the suspension, tighten the nut.

d. Connect the shock absorber to the rear suspension arm No. 2 LH with the bolt and nut.

HINT: After stabilizing the suspension, tighten the nut.

e. Connect the stabilizer link and the height control sensor link to the rear suspension arm No. 2 LH with the bolt and nut.
5. INSTALL REAR WHEEL
a. Install the wheel with the 5 nuts.
Torque: 103 Nm (1,050 kgf-cm, 76 ft. lbs.)
6. STABILIZE SUSPENSION
7. TIGHTEN REAR SUSPENSION ARM ASSEMBLY NO. 2 LH
a. Tighten the bolt and nut to the suspension member.
Torque: 110 Nm (1,120 kgf-cm, 81 ft. lbs.)
b. Fix the nut and tighten the bolt to the shock absorber.
Torque: 110 Nm (1,120 kgf-cm, 81 ft. lbs.)

NOTICE: Do not tighten the nut.

c. Tighten the bolt to the stabilizer link.
Torque: 30 Nm (306 kgf-cm, 22 ft. lbs.)
8. INSTALL WHEEL HUB ORNAMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY
a. Install the ornament with the 10 bolts.
Torque: 20 Nm (204 kgf-cm, 15 ft. lbs.)
9. INSPECT AND ADJUST REAR WHEEL ALIGNMENT
