Speed Sensor, Rear
REPLACEMENT
HINT:
^ Use the same procedures for the LH side and RH side.
^ The procedures listed for the LH side.
1. REMOVE REAR WHEEL
2. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY
3. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY
4. REMOVE SPEED SENSOR REAR LH
a. Disconnect the sensor and HID connectors.
HINT: Disconnect only the sensor connector on the RH side.
b. Remove the bolt and nut and disconnect the No. 2 and No. 3 clamps.
c. Remove the resin clamp and the clamp bolt, and disconnect the HID connector.
HINT: Only the LH side has the No. 3 clamp, resin clip and clamp bolt.
d. Remove the bolt and disconnect the No. 1 clamp.
e. Remove the bolt and sensor.
NOTICE: Keep the sensor tip free from foreign matter.
5. INSTALL SPEED SENSOR REAR LH
a. Install the sensor with the bolt.
Torque: 8.0 Nm (82 kgf-cm, 71 inch lbs.)
b. Install the No. 1 clamp the bolt.
Torque: 5.0 Nm (51 kgf-cm, 44 inch lbs.)
c. Install the No. 2 and No. 3 clamps with the bolt and nut.
Torque: 5.0 Nm (51 kgf-cm, 44 inch lbs.)
d. Connect the HID connector, and install the resin clamp and clamp bolt.
Torque: 5.0 Nm (51 kgf-cm, 44 inch lbs.)
HINT: Only the LH side has the No. 3 clamp, resin clip and clamp bolt.
e. Connect the sensor and HID connector.
HINT: Connect only the sensor connector in RH side.
6. INSTALL REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY
7. INSTALL REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY
8. INSTALL REAR WHEEL
a. Install the wheel with the 5 nuts.
Torque: 103 Nm (1,050 kgf-cm, 76 ft. lbs.)
b. Install the ornament with the 10 bolts.
Torque: 20 Nm (204 kgf-cm, 15 ft. lbs.)
