Rear Axle Hub Bolt

REPLACEMENT

HINT:
^ Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.
^ The procedures listed are for the LH side.
^ A bolt without a torque specification is shown in the standard bolt chart.

1. REMOVE REAR WHEEL
a. Remove the 10 bolts and ornament.
b. Remove the 5 nuts and wheel.





2. DISCONNECT DISC BRAKE CYLINDER ASSEMBLY REAR LH
a. Remove the 2 bolts and disconnect the brake cylinder from the axle carrier.
b. Support the brake caliper securely.
3. REMOVE REAR DISC





4. REMOVE REAR AXLE LH HUB BOLT
a. Temporarily install the 2 nuts to the hub bolts as shown in the illustration.
b. Using SST and a screwdriver or equivalent to hold the axle shaft, remove the hub bolt.

5. INSTALL REAR AXLE LH HUB BOLT
a. Install a washer and nut to a new hub bolt, as shown in the illustration.
b. Using a screwdriver or an equivalent to hold the axle shaft, install the hub bolt by torquing the nut.
c. Remove the 2 nuts temporarily install in step 4.
6. INSTALL REAR DISC
7. CONNECT DISC BRAKE CYLINDER ASSEMBLY REAR LH
a. Connect the brake cylinder to the axle carrier with the 2 bolts.
Torque: 104 Nm (1,065 kgf-cm, 77 ft. lbs.)
8. INSTALL REAR WHEEL
a. Install the wheel with the 5 bolts.
Torque: 103 Nm (1,050 kgf-cm, 76 ft. lbs.)
b. Install the ornament with the 10 bolts.
Torque: 20 Nm (204 kgf-cm, 15 ft. lbs.)
