Front Axle Hub Bolt
REPLACEMENTHINT:
^ Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.
^ The procedures listed are for the LH side.
^ A bolt without a torque specification is shown in the standard bolt chart.
1. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL LH
a. Remove the 10 bolts and ornament.
b. Remove the 5 nuts and front wheel.
2. DISCONNECT DISC BRAKE CYLINDER ASSEMBLY LH
a. Remove the 2 bolts and disconnect the brake cylinder from the steering knuckle.
b. Support the brake cylinder securely.
3. REMOVE FRONT DISC
4. REMOVE FRONT AXLE LH HUB BOLT
a. Temporarily install 2 nuts to the hub bolts as shown in the illustration.
b. Using SST and a brass bar or an equivalent to hold the axle shaft, remove the hub bolt.

5. INSTALL FRONT AXLE LH HUB BOLT
a. Temporarily install a plate washer and nut to a new hub bolt as shown in the illustration.
b. Using a brass bar or an equivalent to hold the axle, install the hub bolt by torquing the nut. Then remove the nut and plate washer.
c. Remove the 2 nuts temporarily installed in step 4.
6. INSTALL FRONT DISC
7. CONNECT DISC BRAKE CYLINDER ASSEMBLY LH
a. Connect the brake cylinder to the steering knuckle with the 2 bolts.
Torque: 118 Nm (1,200 kgf-cm, 87 ft. lbs.)
8. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL LH
a. Install the front wheel with the 5 nuts.
Torque: 103 Nm (1,050 kgf-cm, 76 ft. lbs.)
b. Install the ornament with the 10 bolts.
Torque: 20 Nm (204 kgf-cm, 15 ft. lbs.)
