CIGARETTE LIGHTER ASSEMBLY

REPLACEMENT

HINT:
- The installation procedures are the removal procedures in reverse order. However, only installation procedures requiring additional information are included.

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.

2. REMOVE CONSOLE UPPER PANEL GARNISH REAR
3. REMOVE CONSOLE PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY UPPER




4. REMOVE CIGARETTE LIGHTER ASSEMBLY
a. Rotate the socket cap counterclockwise to remove it.
b. Remove the cigarette lighter from the hole bezel.

5. INSTALL CIGARETTE LIGHTER ASSEMBLY
a. Properly position the socket and ring at the cutout of the hole bezel and insert them.
b. Rotate the socket cap clockwise from the backside.

6. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
7. PERFORM INITIALIZATION

NOTE: Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
