PRECAUTION

- If a terminal contact point malfunction or part installation problem occurs, removal and reinstallation of the suspected part may return the system to normal. However, be aware that the normal condition may only be temporary.
- To determine the malfunctioning area, use DTCs, freeze frame data and other data to help determine conditions at the time of the malfunction. Write down the data before disconnecting connectors or installing/removing parts.
- The Anti-lock Brake System (ABS) with Electronic Brake force Distribution (EBD) & Brake Assist (BA) & Traction Control (TRAC) & Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) system may be affected by malfunction in other systems. Check for DTCs in the other systems and, if present, troubleshoot those DTCs first.
- Unless specified, the ignition switch must be OFF when installing/removing the skid control ECU, ABS & TRAC actuator and ABS's connectors.
- After the ABS & TRAC actuator or an ABS connector has been removed and reinstalled, be sure to check for DTCs. Also, perform the test mode inspection to make sure the part is functioning normally.
- After the yaw rate sensor or the ABS & TRAC actuator assembly has been replacing be sure to perform yaw rate sensor (deceleration sensor) zero point calibration
