Luggage Compartment Door:

OVERHAUL

HINT:
- The installation procedure are the removal procedures in reverse order. However, only installtion procedures requiring additional information are included.
- A bolt without a torque specification is shown in the standard bolt chart.
- Use the some procedures for the RH side and LH side.




1. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSIST GRIP
a. Remove the 2 screws and striker grip.




2. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR STRIKER ASSEMBLY
a. Remove the 2 bolts and door striker.

HINT: If shims are present, store them.




3. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR COVER
a. Using a clip remover, remove the 19 clips.
b. Detach the 4 fasteners.
c. Remove the luggage compartment door cover.

4. REMOVE CENTER STOP LAMP ASSEMBLY
5. REMOVE REAR SPOILER SUB-ASSEMBLY




6. REMOVE BACK DOOR GARNISH SUB-ASSEMBLY OUTSIDE LH
a. Remove the 2 nuts.
b. Using a screwdriver, detach the clip and remove the garnish.

7. REMOVE BACK DOOR GARNISH SUB-ASSEMBLY OUTSIDE RH
8. REMOVE BACK DOOR STOPPER LOWER
a. Remove the 4 bolts and 2 stoppers.




9. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY
a. Disconnect the connector.
b. Using a clip remover, detach the wire harness clamps.
c. Remove the 6 bolts and door panel.

10. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR WEATHERSTRIP




11. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR WEATHERSTRIP
a. Coat the luggage compartment door panel with adhesive, as shown in the illustration.

Adhesive: Part No. YN-92, YOKOHAMA RUBBER CO., LTD or equivalent

Diameter: 3 mm (0.12 in.)

b. Install the weatherstrip to the luggage compartment door panel.




12. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY
a. Install the door panel with the 6 bolts.

Torque: 22 N.m (224 kgf.cm, 16 ft.lbf)

b. Install the wire harness clamps.
c. Connect the connector.

13. INSTALL BACK DOOR STOPPER LOWER
a. Install the stopper with the 4 bolts.

14. INSTALL BACK DOOR GARNISH SUB-ASSEMBLY OUTSIDE LH
a. Install the door garnish with the 2 nuts.

15. INSTALL BACK DOOR GARNISH SUB-ASSEMBLY OUTSIDE RH
a. Install the door garnish with the 2 nuts.

16. INSTALL REAR SPOILER SUB-ASSEMBLY
17. INSTALL CENTER STOP LAMP ASSEMBLY

18. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR STRIKER ASSEMBLY
a. Install the striker with the 2 bolts.

Torque: 10 N.m (102 kgf.cm, 7 ft.lbf)

b. Adjust the striker
