A. AFFECTED VIN RANGE

NOTE:
Not all vehicles in the VIN range are affected by this LSC. Always consult Dealer Daily or TIS to confirm VIN eligibility and to assure the LSC is applicable. This will verify the vehicle is involved and has not already been completed by another dealer. TMS warranty will not reimburse dealers for repairs conducted on vehicles that are not affected. This LSC only affects vehicles equipped with the GEN4 navigational system.

III. PREPARATION

A. PARTS

The replacement Navigation DVD will be provided at no cost. To order this DVD, go to http://lexusdvd.imagespm.info/index.cfm. You will need the vehicle VIN to order the DVD. Do not use DVD's from any other sources for this LSC.

B. TOOLS

^ Clip Remover SST 09060-2003

IV. WORK PROCEDURE

1. REMOVE THE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT FLOOR MAT

(a) Remove the floor mat.





(b) Remove the 2 bolts and the 2 luggage compartment trim hooks No. 1.

(c) Remove the 2 clips and 2 deck side trim boards. SST 09060-20030





2. REMOVE THE REAR FLOOR FINISH PLATE

(a) Remove the 5 clips SST 09060-20030

(b) Disengage the 4 clips and remove the plate (A) in diagram.





3. REMOVE THE NAVIGATION ECU

(a) Remove the 2 screws.





(b) Raise the front portion of the navigation ECU





4. REPLACE THE NAVIGATION DVD

(a) Turn the ignition switch to the "ACC" or "ON" position.

(b) Press the "PUSH" button and slide it to the left. This will open the dust cover and eject the DVD.

(c) Remove and discard the old DVD.





(d) Insert the new navigation DVD.

NOTE:
Be sure to install the DVD marked: "DATA ver.04.2"





(e) Press the "PUSH" button and slide it to the right. This will close the dust cover.





4. REINSTALL THE NAVIGATION ECU

(a) Push down on the front of the navigation ECU.





(b) Reinstall the 2 screws.





5. REINSTALL THE REAR FLOOR FINISH PLATE

(a) Reinstall the rear floor plate and engage the 4 clips (A). Reinstall the 5 clips (B).





6. REINSTALL THE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT FLOOR MAT

(a) Reinstall the 2 bolts and the 2 luggage compartment trim hooks No. 1.

(b) Reinstall the 2 clips and 2 deck side trim boards.

(c) Reinstall the floor mat.

7. VERIFY THAT THE SEARCH AREA IS SET TO THE LOCAL AREA AS DESCRIBED IN THE NAVIGATION SYSTEM OWNER'S MANUAL

8. PROCEED TO LSC COMPLETION LABEL INSTALLATION.
