Speed Sensor, Rear
SPEED SENSOR REAR LH
REPLACEMENT
HINT:
^ Replace the RH side by using the same procedures as for the LH side.
^ The procedures listed are for the LH side.
1. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY
2. REMOVE REAR SEAT HEAD REST ASSEMBLY
3. REMOVE REAR SEAT BACK ASSEMBLY
4. REMOVE REAR WHEEL
5. REMOVE REAR WHEEL HOUSE LH LINER
6. REMOVE SPEED SENSOR REAR LH
a. Disconnect the speed sensor connector, and pull out the speed sensor wire harness with the grommet.
b. Remove the nut and bolt and disconnect the speed sensor rear wire harness.
c. RH side: Disconnect the pad wear indicator connector from the speed sensor rear.
d. RH side: Remove the bolt and disconnect the speed sensor rear wire harness.
e. Remove the bolt and speed sensor rear.
NOTICE: Prevent foreign matter from attaching to the sensor tip.
7. INSTALL SPEED SENSOR REAR LH
NOTICE: Do not twist the sensor wire when installing the sensor.
a. Install the speed sensor rear with the bolt.
Torque: 8.0 Nm (82 kgf-cm, 71 inch lbs.)
NOTICE: Prevent foreign matter from attaching to the sensor tip.
b. RH side: Connect the speed sensor rear wire harness with the bolt.
Torque: 5.0 Nm (51 kgf-cm, 44 inch lbs.)
c. RH side: Connect the pad wear indicator connector to the speed sensor rear.
d. Connect the speed sensor rear wire harness with the nut and bolt.
Nut Torque: 5.0 Nm (51 kgf-cm, 44 inch lbs.)
Bolt Torque: 5.0 Nm (51 kgf-cm, 44 inch lbs.)
e. Connect the grommet and speed sensor rear.
8. INSTALL REAR WHEEL HOUSE LH LINER
9. INSTALL REAR WHEEL
Torque: 103 Nm (1,050 kgf-cm, 76 ft. lbs.)
10. INSTALL REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY
11. INSTALL REAR SEAT HEAD REST ASSEMBLY
12. INSTALL REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY
13. CHECK ABS SPEED SENSOR SIGNAL
